如何提交报告
第九条 and Sexual Misconduct
You may report sexual misconduct based on your own experience or on behalf of someone else concerning an act of sexual harassment, 性暴力, 家庭暴力, dating violence or stalking. You have the power to choose what's best for you. If you have been impacted by 性暴力, you have options to share your story.
There is no time limit for filing a report. 然而, 随着时间的流逝, it may be more difficult to thoroughly investigate the report because witnesses may not be available, memories may have faded, respondents may no longer be affiliated with the University and/or other key information is no longer obtainable. 在提交报告时, you do not need to know what course of action to pursue or how to label what happened.
Option 1: Remain Anonymous
If you have been impacted by 性暴力, you may choose to file an anonymous report. You can report a personal experience, something you personally witnessed or a situation you heard about.
You may choose to make an anonymous report if you want the University to be aware of an incident but do not want to be involved in an administrative investigation. Depending on the information you provide, the University's ability to respond to an anonymous report may be limited. If the report does not identify the alleged victim and/or respondent, we may not be able to initiate a grievance process or provide supportive measures.
Option 2: File a Report With 亚洲博彩平台排名 Administrators
Incidents may be reported to the 第九条 coordinator or a University official with authority to institute corrective measures. Reports may be made in person, by regular mail, telephone, email, 电子提交 or by any other means leading to your verbal or written report being received.

Option 3: File a Report With Law Enforcement
You may choose to file a report off campus with the Newport Police Department. The decision to file a criminal complaint is a deeply personal choice. Individuals often make this decision based on the situations surrounding the incident and the circumstances in their life at the time. Some find that participating in a proceeding to hold the accused accountable helps them to regain some measure of control lost by virtue of the assault, and to protect themselves and others from future harm.
Incidents may be reported by calling 911 or the Newport Police Department's non-emergency line at (401) 847-1306.
